Goddess Brigid

The goddess Brigid is a pagan celtic goddess known for her healing powers and aid with fertity. Along with protection for all who believe in her. Brigid is known as a triple goddess some callong her Brigid or Brid and even saint bridget. Brigid was one of the many goddesses who christianity kept and made a saint until 1969 when it was decided the christians couldnt prove her exsistance. Neither the less st bridgets day continues to this day amoung the irish people.
Crosses are weaved from water rushes. And then hung above the door for protection.
Along with her cross there is the brigid cloth.
A piece of cloth .. riÉ“bon . Scarf is hung on the front door on the eve of brigid .. January 31st. Legend believes as brigid moves through the land and past your door she will touch the cloth. Kèeping the cloth then safe and used on times of illness for its healing properties.
Imbolc
